They are playable but the PS3 HD collection is far superior. Worst thing about the PS4 versions is the lack of omnidirectional movement (only 8 directions), and the cracking and popping noises in the cutscenes of 2 and 3. The resolution compared to the PS3 is worse, and the framerate is the worst of the three versions.

Im playing Jak 2 on my PS5 right now and pressing L1 + L3 at the same time while not in a menu works it definitely inverts the horizontal camera controls. I assume its the same for the PS4 since there is now PS5 version of the game, I am playing the PS4 version on my PS5. Just came here for this.

You say people aren't going to want games like Jak and Daxter, but the N Sane trilogy sold 2.5 million copies and is the 12th most sold game on the PS4; a pure remaster of games not only based on games that are older than jak and daxter, but also lack as great and developed characters and storylines of jak, and yet there it is, a top seller.
It's been nearly two decades since the release of Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, and the franchise never received a main installment after the release of Jak 3 in 2004. There were a few spinoff games, but the core Jak & Daxter series only made its way to later consoles through remastered ports.
Here's a great video comparing the original PS2 releases to the PS3 and PS4 releases so you can get a better idea. Ps3 over ps4. It works better on ps3. PS3 is better hands down. Runs better and has remastered graphics. Only thing is there's no Jak X on PS3. PS3 ones run at 60fps.
