Far Cry 5 ran well for me on a GTX 980 with standard textures and 980Ti with HD textures (980Ti has 6 gigs of VRAM vs. the stock 980's 4 gigs). I can't give you exact FPS but I didn't notice any slowdowns. The game just ran damn well. I had no problems running either game with that GPU on either an old AMD 8350 or my newer Ryzen 7 2700X.

The .50 cal was amazing in farcry 5, gun was OP, in farcry 6 it feels amazing, the look, sound, handling is a chefs kiss, but its damage is god awful.. its a bloody terrible weapon to use, makes it even worse with the ammo types now. Far Cry 6 does a much better job with its wide selection of gear, which grants you worthwhile bonuses. A certain pair of gloves might help you do a bit more damage to tagged enemies. Maybe a piece Compared to the bright action of Far Cry 6, the survival-horror nature of Dying Light can be a rather dramatic change in tone. The game's open world, however, makes it one of the most unique first Hunting went out the window. The game is a mix of the recent ACs, Ghost Recon and well Far Cry. Jack of all trades, master of none. But most importantly the gameplay took an big nosedive due to Ubisoft's obsession for RPG mechanics that have nothing to do in a game like Far Cry. Here a non exhaustive list:
Based on certain elements of Far Cry 6's Vaas and Pagan Min DLCs, it stands to reason that Joseph Seed's may be more important than them both. Far Cry 6 has released two major Villains DLCs so far
FC6's world is beautiful and colorful. So atmospheric. The villain is absolutely believable and is up there in best FC villains along with Pagan Min. Combat feels much better than 5. It's smoother. Weapons customizations is better, although quite simple, not very immersive but still better than 5. Landscape is so dynamic and immersive.
5 by a mile. Far Cry 6 has numerous issues that caused me to drop it after a few days and never go back. First off, enemies respawn constantly. As in, you might be stealthy clearing out a relatively small outpost and the guards you killed less than a minute ago will just blip back into existence.
Its color palette is warmer than Far Cry 5's Hope County or Far Cry 4's Kyrat. Unlike the first game, Far Cry 6 has more signs of human habitation. There are small, rural towns near the beaches tl;dr: Both games have their merits. The combat in RAGE 2 is excellent and provides far more fun and satisfaction than any fights in Far Cry 5. That said, Far Cry 5 feels like it's just better put together in terms of story, progression, and miscellaneous open-world garbage. SemperSalam.
Is Far Cry 6 optimization is just worse than Far Cry 4 & 5 or is there some magical trick that people found out to fix said issues? I have literally tried everything I can think of: updating my GPU drivers, using Nvidia Control Panel V-sync instead of the in-game one, setting low latency to "On" there along with locking the framerate to 45fps
And although I haven't completed the story, I do have over 100 hours in Far Cry 6. Joseph is also a much better villain than Castillo, who I've barely seen in those 100 hours. I'm not trying to shit on 6 at all, because I definitely had fun with it, I just think Far Cry 5 is a better game.
Far Cry 5 is better game than a cryptic allegory for why cults and bigotry are bad. Instead, it provides an addictive and satisfying gameplay loop as you systematically take down a powerful militia.
Far Cry is famous for having a charismatic villain be the star of the show rather than the protagonist, and that trend certainly continues in Far Cry 5. Father (Greggory Michael Bryk), formerly known as Joseph Seed, is so maniacally faithful in his own power that the player will begin to wonder if he actually is an avatar for God. 421J.
